on the subject of hei heis that damn sleeve inthe seat tube - I remember around 96 we special ordered one to take a 27.2 and got it, but my current frame is the standard 27.0 - anyone had any joy widiening this to take a 27.2???

Yes.

Well in principle.

The likes of Argos were happy to ream the insert of my Hei Hei (Jon's new frame) from 27.0 to 27.2 for about £40.

I also spoke with Enigma about getting a new 27.2 shim made up which they said would have been possible too.

I don't believe so.

Its just to reduce down the internal dimensions of the ST.

My modern Ti frame is "shimless".

It would be interesting to remove the shim all together and measure the internal dimension - a suggestion of Enigma.

With the plethora of seatpost sizes available a correctly sized post could be found.

Nice frame Jon. If you do decide to paint think you need to leave some portions of the frame bare Ti. Like Serotta, IF, Litespeed and Kona themselves have done on various frames.

I am now in to minds what to do, i am going to get the proper decals for it and see how that looks first and go from there.
