kona sex one??

It's a bit of a eclectic faux bar / URT suspension designed. A mate of mine had a Sex Too BITD.

They're okay - shock will need some work to get it doing anything useful.

Being a URT they work best sat down, despite looking like a 4 bar link. BB is on the swingarm, in practice. I really wanted on BITD...

Well for $NZ100 = £40 you're not doing too badly, and I expect you'll beat him down a bit over that saddle!

It's a 1996 one and I think that was the last year they made them. It was $US1,549 when it was new (compared to a Kilauea = $US1,049!) Double-butted 7000 frame, Fox Alps-4 shock (3" travel), originally a Quadra 21R fork and STX/LX kit. Looks like size 18 or 19.

Although URT turned out not to be quite the answer to everybody's problems that it was billed as, it does keep the bb to rear axle distance constant which was a bonus before they learned how to control suspension geometry. Might be a bit hard work up hills, but fine down them.

If it was around the corner from me, I'd snap it up in no time, even though it's not my size!

The semi-URT design continued for the 97 king kikapu but IIRC the SEX range was dropped end 96 and replaced with the manomano etc

I had one of these new - it was indeed hard on the steep ups - but a blast down hills. Some folk wore out pivot bushings quickly - though mine was never a problem.
