Kona project two sizes

Hi I have a 1994 kona fire mountain and I’m in the process of returning it to almost original form but having issues with the fork and velocity stem . I got some project 2 forks but they are 1” - I also got a velocity stem which I was told was 1” but it’s 11/8” I’ve tried to find a 1” velocity stem but had zero luck . I would have to change the headset as it currently has some answer manitou forks on
My question really is did they make a 1” velocity stem? For now I’ll keep the manitou forks with the 11/8 stem I have but ideally I’d like to put some p2 forks back on it

Yes, Velocity stems come in 1"

Sell the 1" P2s and get some 1 1/8" P2s would be my recommendation

I have a couple of 1” stems spare … you can have one if you pay for postage unless you are near Warrington/cheshire

It’s possible yours has a 1 1/8” fork as they transitioned from late 93 onwards

you would need to change your headset if you wanted to go down the 1” route

It’ll be a 1 1/8th fork on a 94, I had one for a while.

@OP if yours is an 18” frame I’m pretty sure I’ve got a model year correct P2 in my parts box
