Can anyone tell me which type of thread is used on 1 1/8 project 2 forks.

Currently looking for a pair for a project and I'm wondering how feasible it is to get threads cut onto a non threaded pair.

be patient threaded ones come up on ebay quite often and sell for a lot less than the ahead ones.

It should be quite feasible to cut a thread in any steel steerer, either a later ahead steerer or a threaded steerer that is too long. It may be a dying art (no pun intended), but you just need to find a metal worker with the appropriate die.

Wait for some threaded triple butted ones. Just about the best steel forks ever made IMO, and worth hanging on for, which is what I have just done....
