Kona Lavadome 1993

This 1993 Kona Lavadome was destined for a new full paint job and NOS period correct LX kit (which I still have and will save for a rainy day). As you will know plans change and this bike has been sold to a friend. No laughing at the looooong stem and cables

It does have some nos lx kit, nice m737 xt mechs and the original cranks i think.

I love the 1993 Kona paint jobs and was surprised how well this one polished-up!

Great bike, I have the same one in 16" but the paint was too far gone so had to be resprayed.

Nice bike & theres nothing wrong with long stems, love the reach on my 91 CC with it's 120mm stem

Thanks for the comments. It's a rider definately and I hope it will be used and looked after for the next 18 years.

Stem is 160mm - if anyone has a quill stem about 120mm (in black no decals) with little rise and 1 1/8" i'm interested as i'm sure the one fitted will cause some lower back pain to the new owner.

The seat post is 26.4mm and fits as snug as a bug! This NOS post is a '94 kalloy and cost 0.99p from ebay - a good fellow of here sent me a couple of clamps FOC which thankfully fitted.

I thought someone might have commented on the chainstay gloss paintwork Put it this way it looks great on my front door!
