Looks very original, reflectors etc a guess at 98 and I have no idea how anyone could ride it like this
I must admit I was suprised not to see the seat post backwards :P
Well, it failed to make its reserve last week when he tried to sell it with the forks the right way around, so maybe he thinks reversing them might bring him a change of luck? Or maybe somebody told him those Zetas are so bad they probably work better pointing backwards than forwards?

I'm not quite sure what the bike is. As far as I can see, there isn't a single item of original 98 Kula equipment on it, so either it was bought as a frame or it was stripped down at some point and had this cheap stuff put on it.

The paint colour is right for a 98 Kula and I guess the decals must be genuine, but if it is a 98 Kula then it's the first 98 Kona I've ever seen with down tube cable routing to the rm. It's not impossible because the entire brochure shows bikes with down tube routing, but I thought it was an established fact that the 98 bikes as actually sold all had top tube routing and it was only the 97 range that had top tube fm / down tube rm. But it isn't a 97 frame because it has a completely different dropout with a replaceable hanger. So I'm a bit dubious about it, I'm afraid.
