Kona Fan
1997 Kona Kula frame, this is a 19 inch (centre to top) frame made in classic Easton Ultralite aluminium for an incredibly fast, light and strong frame. Gusseted under the head tube and made with some excellent thick welds which gives it a really robust look. The back end is really nicely put together,completely straight and true.
V brake only
English thread 68mm bottom bracket shell (threads in perfect condition)
1 1/8th headset fitting
Removable rear mech hanger
Adjustable seat clamp
Top tube cable routing for a top pull front mech.
Two sets of bottle cage bosses.
Takes a 27.0mm seatpost (I'll check this).
I wanted to respray and build this up for my wife but I was misled as to the size and it's too big for either of us or I'd keep it.
The frame is in a reasonable condition with a very small ding in the top tube and some chain suck marks around the bottom bracket (both pictured). Nothing that wouldn't be dealt with by a good re enamelling. This would still build up into a superb light singletrack machine, a fast commuter (it's got some nice rack fixings) or a nice singlespeed project base. The headset cups will need removing
