Kona Humu Build

Dirt Disciple
Started Building the Kona Humu Humu project this afternoon.

Homemade headset press worked a treat. cost £4

Going to get a BB and fit tomorrow. Can anyone shed any light on how to ensure I get the right length square taper bb for a single speed set up. Will be fitting 3 ring truvative crank but with one ring and will use spacer kit on 10 speed rear hub wth single cog.

With out a bb fited it's hard to estimate and measure the distance. Have looked at sheldon brownsdata base, still a bit confused.

Thinking 118mm bb would be a good middle ground for chainring clearance, chain line can e adjusted with spacers on rear wheel.

Now I need another paperweight.

Watching progress with interest.

Don't forget to do me a feedback. Thanks for tidying my shed.

Pretty much finished.

Need to sort brakes. Bought a shimano post to is adapter for front but it doesn't seem to clear the calliper housing. Hope I can get the correct one and still run with the 160 rotor.

Pic to follow

It would but how much do you need to clear it? There are different mount shapes for same rotor size too.
