Kona Hot 20" USA only

I'd say it is. Has the ribbed down-tube and rack mounts on the drop-outs but not on the seat stays.

Hmm...certainly looks like my '95 one. TET serial number on the bottom bracket shell will be the clincher though :)

Looks about as hot as Ann Widdecombe. You've really got to invest quite a lot of significance in the supposed superiority of Tom Teesdale's welding over some Taiwanese guy's in order to prefer that sad-looking object to a 94 Explosif with the same tubeset and original paint and decals.

Glad you said what I was thinking. I'm no guru but it looked as Hot as my freezer.

I actually ended up buying most of this (minus the "commuter" parts) from the seller after he had a few relistings with no bids. It's actually in really nice shape and has M737/M950/Thomson parts on it. Paint has the typical chips but is otherwise in great condition and appears to be the original metallic blue. The bike doesn't look like it was ridden very hard.

Just needs a little touch up, some decals, a proper fork, and some small bits to be back to its old self again.

We all misjudged this bike and I'm glad I took a gamble on it.

What is the "TeT stamped number" on the bottom bracket?

Ernie
