The Kona is as per this photo save for now having new Magura HS33 brakes instead of the old yellow race lines (which I have already sold sorry).

Wheels are original 1996/97 Hope Ti hubs built with Mavic 217 SUP rims. They are totally true.

Seatpost is original Syncros.

Headset is original Chris King and proof that these last a lifetime.

Front Mech is original XTR remainder of drivetrain is XT triple mixed with X9 gripshift and a new X7 rear mech.

Forks are 80mm Recon air with lockout which have been on the trails around 5 times and are barely ridden in.

As you can see I built this bike to ride but simply am not getting out on it as it is "too good" to take out "all mountain" bashing and XC rides were replaced with road all summer. Need money towards new stumpy evo carbon that is on order.

Really do not want the hassle of breaking the bike up to sell.

Sensible offers will not be turned down out of hand. You can email me at [email protected] or post a reply. I have £8-900 in mind.

Kona

Sorry but all threads have to have a firm price in the FS section here, no auctions or offers. The thread will be locked by the mods otherwise.
A nice picture or too and full list of specs would help with the sale also.
Welcome to the site, fella, We're a friendly bunch on here 8)

Sorry but for some reason photos did not upload first time and now I have two!!

Also did not realise there was a rule against asking for "sensible offers" so I have added my thoughts on fair price... sorry again.

Cheers
Darren

I might be way off but that looks biggee than a 17". Whats the length from the bb to the top of the seat tube?

My 17 inch measurment is from centre BB to centre seat tube/top tube join which is my understanding of how Kona frames are sized.

Centre BB to top of seat tube is closer to 19 inches. I am 5 10 and frame size is perfect....does that sound right now??

Centre seat tube to centre head tube is 22.5 inches.

This would be a 19" kona.

They measure from centre of bb to top of seat tube.

Cheers for those corrections guys.

I want this to go to a good home as it was my first ever attempt at building up from an old bike (all work overseen by Niall at Bikedock in Belfast).....but pointers on whether I am in the ballpark on my pricing greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Darren
