Is there any difference between the 1991 Hei Hei,1992 Hei Hei and 1993 Hei Hei
I've been looking at the catalogues again they seem to look the same but is there any differences with the titanium tubing for instance or did Kona just adopt the if it ain't broke why fix it and just kept the same frame for three years.
I'm just curious because i'm just focused on getting a 93 Hei Hei but if they're all the same then i'm thinking why not just get a 91 or 92 if one ever came up and just change the decals to 93 ones after all that's all Kona have done if they're the same frames, the only difference is a serial number.

Does anyone own one of them or even all three and has any info to share.

From the S/N list the '93 bikes differ from the previous frames because they have the bullet-stay design at the dropouts. The '93 catalogue frame doesn't but that was probably just a photo of a late '92 one. Other than that, they probably are the same.

Yes there are. Check out Pip's list.

There were no changes to the frame tubing. In summary the identifiers excluding the decals and SN prefixes are:

- 1991 and 1992, front and rear mech cable stops, front cable stop with rear mount for a Ti noodle and seat stay canti bridge, seat post binder collar with front slot, sloping top tube with long seat tube extension, scallop drop-outs
- 1993, front cable stop only, dog collar at rear with no noodle and no canti bridge, bullet drop-outs

There are a handful of 1993 transition models known to date: 1 with a short seat tube extension and 2 with scallop drop-outs.

Ti P2s, bars, seatpost were available from 1992 onwards.

Also note, in 93 Kona switched to the now familiar total seat-tube length for sizing.
