Kona Fire Mountain as a Single Speed Conversion

I'm considering buying a 1990(I think) FireMountain as a singlespeed project
& was wonding if it is a good choice. All advise welcome as my usual ride is a fixed gear road bike but have been bitten by the steel mtb bug but am still learning about this world

Ideal I would say - decent steel frame and Project 2's.

Just get a 32T chainring and a single speed converter kit and you'll be away....
Just search for singlespeed on here and Google - you'll find all the info. you need (and probably lots you don't too ...)

Are there any other upgrades that would be a good idea. The reality is, I will be trailriding at most.
