Dirt Disciple
So here`s the story of my Fire Mountain.
One day I drove 250km to the Netherlands to pick up a ten year old Mountainbike.
When I arrived back home, I realized that all parts on it were completely wasted.
So why not completely rebuild it?
I stripped the frame and threw everything but the fork in the trash.
Frame and fork went to the powdercoater and I started looking for parts;
I got my hands on NOS 739 XT front&rear derallieur and brakelevers, got a Chris King headset and Race Face Turbine crankset for a very reasonable price, paid way too much for a Syncros seatpost, found some XT V`s in my parents attic, got a Tune/Mavic 217 Ceramic wheelset from Ebay, bought some modern parts (tires, cassette, shifters) and finally realized that the parts did cost me four times the price of the whole bicycle from the Netherlands (you remember?).
Worth every penny in my opinion:
