Look in the 1992 Kona Catalog. The color of the Fire Mountain that year looks very similar to the picture you posted.
However, the bike in real life it looks like my 1992 Kona Fire Mountain on page 53 of the Kona's page thread that I posted in 2012.
Hello, can you post just one photo of your Kona's on here please, like to see all different Kona's bikes on here.
Thanks
You might try Dupont Imron 43073 "Signal Green" or possibly Dupont Imron 5181 "Lime" but that's more of a green (like M&M candy green or Kawasaki motorcycle green) than the picture you posted which seems to contain quite a bit more yellow. Notice how the green in the Kona logo almost disappears into the paint in the catalog photo while the logo is clearly darker in the photo you posted.
My best guess......the Explosif Pro (the pro has the suspension fork) in the photo was a custom order of Dupont
Imron 29608 green.
I'm thinking this Explosif Pro is a 1992 not 1991. Also the 1992 catalog states you can get any color Imron you want if you do a custom order.
The reason I'm using Dupont Imron paint color codes is in the Kona catalog it says they use Imron and that custom colors are available in most Dupont Imron colors.
I've also read that Imron is a really toxic paint to spray, so I would look for a cross reference to something else unless you're a knowledgeable painter or are planning on using a professional paint shop. DuPont no longer owns Imron, it was sold to Axalta Coating Systems, but Axalta still makes Imron paint in 2025.
