Refurb ground to a halt over the past ten days due to a hand injury. Getting better so installed the new wheels only to find the rear badly off centre. Spacing didn't look like an option so nervously decided to re-dish. Never done it before but job done and it is still round. Phew. Tyres on. Coffee.

Needed to re-dish my rear wheel after changing from 7-speed Freehub to 8-speed... decided to rebuild the wheel whilst I was at it... Still not finished it yet... :facepalm:

Bit more done. M732 cantis and black chill pills replacing the DX. Ritchey Logic levers with paint tidied up.
XT 731 pedals replace the Tioga Surefoots. Added weight, so hope I like them. And I gather the 731s are the 'lightweight' version. The 730s must weigh a ton.....

Done I think. Rear cantis squeal like a stabbed pig despite tinkering with toe-in. Maybe they'll bed down.... If not I'll put the old pads back. Time for a shakedown ride.

Went for a shake-down run to do final tweaks. Running nicely. Got home and ate a hot X bun, had a mug of tea and my neighbour suggested going out for a bike ride. So off we went - at a safe and antisocial distance.
