I've had the majority of this bike for more than 2 years now but never quite got around to finishing it. The Forest of Dean ride tomorrow has given me the kick up the backside I needed to get it done. I was planning to ride my Diamond Back Ascent but if I'm being honest with myself, it feels a little too big for me to chuck around trails.
The frame was a spur of the moment ebay purchase (like most of my bikes
) and was just listed as a Kona frame. After asking about it on here it seems it is likely to be either a Cinder Cone or Lava Dome and is a '91. The spray job was done by a mate at work with plastikote and has come out pretty good.
It already had a cable stop added for v-brakes so I have gone for a mix of old and new. It's pretty much finished for now apart from the addition of some XT brakes but I've just run out of time. The stickers too are just a cheap ebay job, I'm going to see if I like the bike before shelling out on better ones.
It's nothing special and certainly won't be everyone's cup of tea but here it is anyway
