Kona Caldera 18"

Hi all,
Ive not been here for a while but Ive just bought this Caldera on Ebay to collect Saturday, seat is a bit damaged but the rest looks to only have light use over the years.
It comes with the Judy T2 shocks but will be looking for some P2`s for it I think, I lost intrest on using my indoor spin bike and it seems all the new bikes are giant alloy monsters with handlebars a meter wide , anyway here's an image, hopefully it will scrub up ok.

Well got the bike today and so far frame is good apart from chips mainly on the chain stays, I wire wooled the frame to remove the surface rust which has filled the finish but polish brings it back.
Not sure if it's paint or powder coat as it's very thin in places so it's a full strip and re paint or polish up and lacquer to give it the used look or try and match paint with a model airbrush .
Not looked inside forks yet, headset has rusted race so will replace, wheels are straight and rear stx is smooth, front bontrager is a a bit rough, hopefully just dry.
Rear xt mech is like new, front stx has worn through chrome.
Bars and stem are great m310 shifters also great nick, avid levers bang on and avid brakes just want new blocks.
Seat binned, grips also, cranks and sprockets also like new, seat post should polish up I think, pretty much most fasteners on frame and brake blocks need replacing.
Will attach some images.
Working out which way to go with it, bloody light as is, rear drop outs look like they have an 8 stamped in them.

Hi,
So update, touched up frame withe humbrol 21 black enamel and when it's hardened will use cutting paste then polish.
Front wheel had been serviced before and over tightened and what looks like car LM grease in there, it had a slight ding in bearing race but after a re grease and setting right it spins smoothly.
Now the seat post wtf, after getting it out and it was bloody tight it turned out to be a 27.2 Trek post that had been cut down .
Any way now looking for a seat post too lol, the frame is awesome condition.
Onwards we go.

Nice, I've the same frame tucked away myself. It's in need of a little TLC m, so if I ever get around to it, I'll refer to this. Keen to see updated pics.
