Thought it was about time I did a thread for my klein!

Bought this beauty off of Pete (magpiegifts)

It's a 98 klein mantra race
First job... Get it in the stand



Sourcing a m950 groupset was pretty hard!





Change of fork and wheels put on

Groupset installed and wasn't sure on the blue sids so tried it with a black set. Think I prefer the contrast of the blue but find the black matches better?











As she sits today:

Wheels: mavic crossmax ceramic

Groupset: shimano xtr m950/1/2

Hi, I am new to mantras, how are you getting on with the RP3? mine came with the original fox coil spring shock, I have an RP3 but its 20mm longer than the original shock, did you find the same with your shock? lee

It actually came with the rp3 when I bought it. It works absolutely fine. I think the bike new would have come with a fox alps, so I don't think there's much difference between the two

If yours has a coil, is it an earlier version?

I dont know what year mine is, its Blastberry Chameleon Marin Comp if that helps, I heard the RP3 was a good upgrade worth doing. Im not sure how to work out the years, I think the first year mantras had a welded seat clamp nut, mine doesnt have that.

My shock hole centers measured 172mm and the Fox RP3 measured 192mm on hole centers. Would you mind measuring yours at somepoint?
