LOL....just basing the price on completed sales. Last one sold on eBay Germany for 90 euro + shipping (about $130  ). And the last set we sold a few months back went for $75 and those were pretty worn.

Please don't hate...just trying to get as much money as we can for our customer's trade-in. And don't forget the 10% RB discount....that'll bring the BIN price down to $107 for two pieces of 17-year-old rubber ;)

Yea i remember your old klein grips... that i bid on !!! you cancelled my bid without any explanation,
when i messaged you you said you have sold them privately ( im assuming for $75)!!!
you shouldnt list things on e-bay if you dont want people to bid on them,
Sorry mate, but as far as my dealings with you go i would advise people to steer clear of your items.

My sincere apologies for that, but if I recall correctly the auction had just started and the bidding was still in the $10 range. I had no idea these grips were worth so much at the time of the listing (hence the $0.99 starting bid and free shipping). When someone comes in with an offer that far exceeds anything you expected of course you are tempted to take it.

It seems like the sellers get flamed for taking offers, but I see so many familiar names from this board in the eBay inbox MAKING the offers :?

Actually, think the seller has got just a hint of a point there...........

Hands up who's tried a sneaky off- ebay offer on something.......... hands up who HATES it when an item they are bidding on gets pulled....... might we actually be the same bunch of people with their hands up

na its okay, its just im like an elephant... i never forget !!!
But as i was bidding i would have liked the chance to match the offer with a quick message from yourself.
oh yea.... and also im not able to bid on your klein grips now as you have banned me from bidding on your items !! just because i gave you grief about removing my bid for no reason.. :)
also just to let you know ...my original bid for the grips was quite high....

Let me know your your user ID and I'll remove you from the list. I've been selling on eBay for a decade now and it's not uncommon for disgruntled buyers to mess with your auctions. Better to be safe than sorry.

On a side note, if you still need them you can have these grips for $65 shipped if you're interested. They're much nicer than the other ones you were bidding on and I'll even end the auction early for you just to make things ironic

I can see this argument from both sides here, i have definatly had ebay items removed buy buying as a gift early i also have never had anything bought early whilst i was bidding on it, but that must be frustrating, i always ask the seller if they would end the auction early for a fixed price, i just think thats the way its goes.
