Klein frame question

I'm not able to comment on whether or not it could be repaired via welding but I'm sure others on here can chime in on that. I'd think it could be repaired and then just make sure you use a long enough seat post. If it can't be welded, it could be cut down at the crack area and then you could use a seat post collar like Klein began doing in 1997.

I've got an old rascal that I bought from the bay. Came with the standard klein seat tube crack, but it had been repaired.

I'm not a techincal weldy person, but it simply looks like a large dollop of solder over the crack. Nothing fancy, and nothing done to mitigate it's ugliness. But it does work. And i've had no bother at all with it.

If i could be bothered, i'd file down the lump, and repaint it. Reckon you'd hardly notice it at all. But i'd have to find the proper paint colour (it's the pink to purple fade). And i'm too lazy to do that. Works fine for me as it is

Thank you all :D
I've take that frame (I'm really sure it's a pinnacle :D ) to someone who can do good tig welding. They'll tell me what to do.
I hope they return me a good frame to start a fresh new project (all mine ;))
