SUNBURST?

Hi Martin, as I told you before I have a Klein Adept -93 that needs a repaint. It is originally Sunburst L.F. Have you found the color-theme for Sunburst?

I´d love to send the bike to you during the fall/winter.

Yes Sunburst is not a problem. I can not show all the colours I paint but here a little new project.

An Adroit in Team Storck but in bad condition and wrong colour on the top tube and the purple part on the frame.
Someone tried to repaint this frame but not in the original way.

Now i will remove the wrong colour and change the frameset into a Backfire.

Im curious to know what happened to the Boron on the Painted Desert Adroit? Rolling Eyes

Here is the answer Jon:

Nothing happens. The boron carbon is still in good shape because I use active oxygen to strip the frame. I`m wondering what happens to the boron carbon when other repainters blast a frame.

The good news is that all the wrong colour is gone. The bad news is that this frame is no virgin.
It has a bad dent on the downtube someone tried to fill with polyester filler. And there are also some little dents on the toptube.

The filler must be removed and I will fix this problem later with aluminum before this frame can get some new paint.

Strangly some Boron is missing in places...
I guess it was layered on by hand so tends to be a little random.
They seem to have been quite generous on the forks.

I dont blast frames to remove paint personally.

You're sure it's missing in some places? I've seen some more pictures from other bikes and they are more or less the same...

Of course you've seen many more "naked" Adroits....
