Purchased new by me in 1999 and having had a little use over the years, just a few laps around Bewl reservoir (13 miles) each year to try and keep fit! I’ve only recently started doing any “proper” mountain biking and have bought a full suspension bike for that.
The bike is totally original, even down to the original bontrager tyres. It has been regularly serviced, also cleaned and lubed after every ride. There are 2 small areas at the top of the forks where the paint has chipped off and the chainstay has paint chipped off from where the chain came off and got stuck. Other than that it is in excellent original condition for a 12 year old bike, helped by careful storage in a dry garage over the years.
Size = Large. I’m 5’10” and have used it with both the standard rather long stem and a shorter Race Face stem which I found better for me. I will supply both stems in the sale.
Weight – I haven’t weighed it but what is very evident is just how light this bike is! Even when compared to modern designs. Hence it’s a great cross country bike that romps uphill.

Shimano XT/LX drivetrain and gears – all working smoothly
Avid V-brakes
Most other parts I believe are Bontrager
