Roy,
So what if it's ugly? It's an e-stay!
I hear that they break easily......but it's an e-stay!
Once they break, they're impossible to repair............but it's an e-stay!
Yeah, I'd like to get one also because......well, y'know

The bike is in fab original nick with really no probs at all. I have been poking around the forum and there is quite a bit of negative press about my new baby. Whilst I can appreciate it isn't the best bike ever made it is really quirky and well worth a place in retro bike history.
I appreciate it as a design oddity ,not a design classic, and as such I think it should be preserved and looked after and hopefully admired for what it is or was.
It is currently asleep in the garage but once it is over it's long journey to it's new home and I have had chance to do a minor fettle and polish I will post pics.
Monkey Metal has a small place in MTB history and I intend to keep my new ugly bird alive to prove this.
