you've tried penetrating oil (plusgas not WD40) on the seat post? give it a few days of soaking - you could put a short length off inner tube to create a receptacle for the fluid - use a scribe between the post and the frame to cler any corrosion to allow the fluid to flow between the two.,.

heat - you can go quite host as you have no worries about damaging the paint, then cool totry to break the seat - hold the post end in a vice and try twisting it.

all the fails, then it is caustic soda time.

my 96 killicomp was purple -not sure why yours isn't; it was also for rigid forks.

The 1996 catalogue is on the archive section if you wanted a browse. Great era for saracen.

I agree with the above, plenty of seatpost to use for leverage there, get it soaking in penetrating oil for a fortnight night and day, attach a seat you dont mind bending and twist it out.

I've not owned a great number of bikes but the purple kili I had was probably my favourite. Should never have sold it

Should never have sold it

There was an 18in framed one of these in a sale at Evans, Waterloo that I went with intention to buy. But I took a wrong turning so got to the shop and somebody nabbed it 5 minutes before I got in. I was gutted big time. :(

A s/h one came up for sale, 17 in, that I bought and really liked the bike - it had travelled with me to Cyprus, Brazil, Sweden and all over UK and Wales. I sold it in the end as the frawe was too small and the low riding position was killing my lower back.

If only I had taken the earlier train back then ........

Before that I did have 20in dark metallic green kiliflyer (?) with small coloured shaped graphics, bought as frame with froks, that I probably should have held on to but I p/x that for my proflex; was living in rented accomm so had nowhere to keep it really.

Strangely enough I have never seen one of these on here or ebay. Even now google shows nothing like it so prob\ably is a rare beast.

Re:

Hmmm special edition rings a bell .... off to google....
