kilaua vs. cinder cone

I have two kona steel frames the midt nineties. A cinder cone and a kilaua. They seem very alike to me. A frind told me that the kilaua is the better one(triple butted) and the cinder cone (dubble butted)
Is that true?

From memory, in '93 and '94 at least, both were Double-butted but the Kilauea was Tange Prestige Concept tubing as opposed to 'plain' Tange chromo on the Cinder Cone...
