Heres a pic of my old Beamish Suzuki 250. It was one of the first handfull built. Its now gone to a new home to help fund my 60 Triumph Tiger Cub Trials project. Duncan MacDonald of Pace Cycles fame is supplying most of the custom parts for the new build.

My all time favourite trials film is from the 1959 Scottish Six Day. It follows a team using completely stock Lambrettas. get yourself a brew and watch this. Brilliant!

That Beamish looks sweet Si.

Shame you got rid. Think those old Suzukis are a lot rarer than tricked up cubs.

I see Duncan has a thread devoted to him over on Trials Central just now. His riding has been impressing some folk.

I didn't like the handling on the Beamish. The front was too slack and you had to get all your weight over the bars to get it to turn in at low speed or it would just wash out. Not ideal for trials. Otherwise it was a good bike. The engine was lovely and had loads of low end torque for a two stroke.

Besides, I'm a tart and love the looks of the bikes from the 1960s.
