Something fishy going on!

I'd probably agree.

The guy who bought and split/sold the frame is a possibly a professional bike breaker (ebay member "12-28"). He always has retro stuff for sale and it crops up on here regularly such as the K2 Razorback he's selling now.

and uses a different name to buy them with sometimes, though 12-28 this time.

But the trail frame frame to current sale is all there in the feedback

but I forget which.
But gets the parts out to others.

My take is that it is not against eBay rules to have multiple accounts.

I don't know what knowledge others have about this particular transaction but it seems plausible to me to bid and win on two items and then decide to get rid.

Is there a suggestion shill bidding was involved and it went wrong?

Perhaps I just don't mind people seeing buying and selling as a profit making endeavour.

As long as people don't defraud others.

:)

ITS THE TURN AROUND TIME FOR ME SEEMS TO QUICK, FRAME SOLD, THEN SHIPPED THEN RELISTED IN A MATTER OF DAYS, IF IT WAS A NON PAYING BIDDER HE DIDNT GIVE THEM MUCH TIME TO MAKE PAYMENT BEFORE RELISTING.
AND IF LISTED BY THE WINNING BIDDER, AGAIN IT SEEMS TOO QUICK

ALSO THE PICS ARE THE SAME TAKEN ON THE SAME FLOOR, SO LIKELY 12-28 AND THE CURRENT LISTING ARE THE SAME PERSON.

WHICH MAKES YOU THINK THE £95 SELLING PRICE COULD BE SHILL BIDDING GONE WRONG

Bike sold 14th October

14 days later...

Frame sold 28th October

5 days later...

Buyer leaves feedback 2nd November

"VERY FAST DELIVERY" (Indeed from a seller rated for fast delivery...)

Buyer, (who has been on ebay a long time with a reasonable amount of feedback), relists with the previous seller's pics. (Well we have all done that, haven't we?)

2nd November

The reason given is that he bid on two bikes and ended up winning both.

If you look at his bids, he indeed bid on a Kona Hei Hei on 26th October that he subsequently won on the basis of that bid, on 31st October.

Before he knew his bid of the 26th on the Kona was a winning bid, he bid again and won the KHS.

Bids for Kona... 26th October

Bids for KHS... 28th October

Wins the Kona on previous bid... 31st October

ONE bid, late in the day and wins the auction on the KHS, just pipping the current bids, not the way to shill bid folks.

It seems to be legit to me.

I don't see any impossibly fast turn around, nor any indication of shill bidding or similar.

It annoys some people to see bikes sold and resold, hacked about with and made a profit from, I get that.

However, don't let that notion prejudice your judgement.

I only bothered checking this out as I am interested in the KHS.

I hope the suggestions made on this thread won't put people off dealing with the seller who seems to be the subject of hasty impugnment.

Just my two cents.

:)
