Following a parts harvesting buy I now have this frame to give away....
According to the chap I bought this from it was some kind of team (prototype?) aluminium frame that was owned by the MF team manager at the time - I guess it's from 1998-99 ish? I haven't found any reference to the model anywhere at all either. It's one for the big boys, measuring 21'5" centre to top. There's some nice features on show as well, such as a neat embossed logo on the top tube, smoothed welds a la klein/cannondale and crud catcher mounts.
So why gratis? The answer is that I have sadly discovered what appears to be a hairline crack along the weld on the inside of the drive side chainstay, as pictured. I scraped away a little of the paint which seems to confirm the worst, there is a small chance that it could just be within the filler that has smoothed the weld but I can't guarantee that. Being 7000 series alloy it's a bit easier to fix and could be welded by somebody in the know, or taken a chance on as is. It just seems too nice to sling into a skip, the frame is otherwise in good shape.
