Well, here he is partly built up, the light was going and I wanted to get a couple of pics before it did...! So will get him cabled up tomorrow and try and sort the niggles with a too short a chain (only one in my bits box...) and an old Ultegra rear mech that I think is probably knackered and wouldn't cope with the cassette ratio anyway.

Yes, it's a horrible combination of colours, but that's the whole point, the bars are actually purple so it's even worse than it looks The wheels are actually new old stock and destined for something else really, but as this is here and the 'something else' isn't, it gets new wheels for now. Just got the seat post and clamp to source, maybe a triple chainset as this one is in my 'for sale' ad... :facepalm:

Cost so far, as most of the bits are karma or bits box stuff, is about 20 quid

And I did get round to waxoyling all the insides as the sun was pretty warm this afternoon and the conservatory was like a mild-ish oven, unfortunately the smell has pervaded the whole house but as my landlady is in Spain for a week I think I should be safe from being told off...
