Edit: Nick, it seems to me you really don't want to let this one go and I don't blame you. Get it repaired or keep it until you do. Wouldn't feel right taking this. The chance of a repair let you (and me) know how much you want it.

thanks all - I did look into getting it repaired, but was going to be about £100, plus a repaint on top, which seemed a bit too much for a frame thats minus its original forks.

theres been a few genesisi through here and they seem to be 100-150 price range with decent enough paint, hence it not really making sense to spend a load on this one.

l'll have a PM with Makster see what he thinks
