Karma-ish Blue Fake Chris King No Threadset in 1 and 1/8

KondratievsBike

Dave Yates Fan
Pretty decent with just a very slight scuff to the “N” in one of the King logos on the bottom cup.

I’m still not ready to have non-quill stems on my old bikes!

Is it worth 50 quid posted to anyone?

Now going as a kind of karma/charity thing to LikeClockwork

Re:

Sorry to say this but I think that’s a fake. Lettering is too spaced out and of a different size...
I could be wrong though so apologies if it’s a real one

Re:

Ha! Fair enough!

Good job I don’t want to use a non-quill stem then

I’ll take it down.

Or I might leave it up as an example of a fake. Never even knew there were such things although I guess it’s to be expected

The good ones that were doing the rounds on a certain well known auction site a while ago were very VERY good and extremely hard to spot the difference! :D

For me the give away with this one was the crown race being split, a la FSA, rather than the CK 'base plate' one. Sometimes the bearings give the game away, too. Worth something to someone, though, in fact I wouldn't say no for a sensible price as it would make my Spesh look far posher than it actually could ever hope to be...

You’d be very welcome to it in exchange for a donation to your favourite charity :D

:xmas-big-grin:

I'll PM you tonight, very late for work now....

The local air ambulance is my charity, and more than happy to make a decent donation to them, very much appreciated, thank you!
