Morning all. This isn't the biggest giveaway in the history of RetroBike, but it might help someone with that little piece of the puzzle. I've been having a rummage in the stem box and I've found this Ahead top cap from a Manitou CNC stem I owned back in '96-97. When the bike was stolen (along with the stem) I'd recently swapped the headset and for some reason couldn't run this matching cap - which meant all I had left of the bike when it was nabbed was the receipt and this momento:
For reference, it's the cap like this one mounted on the complete stem from a for sale thread a while back:
Although I could use it on a regular stem, I've always felt it should be with the matching stem. It's for a 1 1/8" stem, and I'll post out FOC to wherever in the world you are. It weighs about as much as a stamp anyway!
Please note - this is for the Ahead Top Cap ONLY, I haven't got the stem to give away. Somebody already had that off me
