Karma bike with pics...gone

I would like a bike that's a bit different. Maybe not ideal for what I would use it for, just cruising around town and given a polish every so often. A bike that would never win a race but would put a smile on my face every time I came to ride it. Something I could smooch out to the local hills on, but not racy that I'd feel like I had to do a proper ride. Something that would suit having a light lunch in a suitable bad strapped to it.

Hmmmmm summer dreaming... :-)

Had a chance to look at it in daylight today. It has a serial No. NA5258294, and would appear to have had a new rear wheel after Jan 1975. The dropouts, and stem tell me it can't be more than three years older than me!

Therefore i may have been partially incorrect at 11:01 last night

About it's Raleigh or Shopper heritage? Or the shade of green?

How about a classic sit up and beg bike that'll kill you on the hills but you can put you're lunch in th basket. Not fast (see hills) but not slow. the sort of thing to mouch down the canal with on a summer evening with some food and wine.

I'm hungary already

So (allegedly) Nottingham, January 1975 (if online sources are to be believed).

Interesting.....this would seem to match the rear wheel date ID, but the model looks much much earlier.......hence my remark about possibly being older than me :?

Wilf and Rob...it has a rack
Dave

so Nottingham built and 1975....perhaps something like a gentlemans BSA with plastic saddle, 27'' chromed steel wheels, colour matched mudguards..maybe straight bars and Sturmey Archer 3 speed?

I would like it to be something that would fit in my collection. I have 5 that I ride, and currently 4 project bikes. The whole collection stands me at less than a couple of hundred pounds too. Therefore it would have to be a Dawes, and hopefully a tourer :D That would fit perfectly.

Either that or a tandem, I would love to have a roll on a tandem.
