OK,
so i was given a bike today.
My neighbour was wheeling it to the tip, and i grabbed him, and was offered it on the spot.
The problem is i don't want it :cry: So, with some proviso's i am willing to gift it here. :shock:
But....it is not going to be that easy :? I have karma'd a bike before, only to se it sold on. I know i didn't specify that in the sale, but i thought the person really wanted it.
This time i hope that the person who wins this bike will preserve, or restore it, not sell it on, OR strip it for parts. It has been a bicycle for a long time, possibly longer than i have been a person, and i would like to see it stay that way. That is the first proviso. The second is that they collect, or pay for transport from me in Sussex.
To receive this worthy machine, i have devised a cruel plan...post here and tell me what kind of bike YOU would like to receive, and the person describing the bike closest to the one i have will win it. Be specific about manufacturer, type, fixtures and equipement etc. However i retain the final say as to who gets it........
You may ask questions, but i may ignore them, or be evasive, or obtuse.
I hope this will give you some fun, and that the bike is saved for the nation. To encourage you i will tell you i believe it is complete, and origional, right down to the grease on the chain and gear change parts.
Lets say two weeks to run this..
