K2 Proflex Crank

Hi everyone, i have recently bought a K2 Proflex 3000 but the crank is quite noisy and i think its going to be a good idea to get it replaced asap.

Are these an item that any bike shop can replace or are they a special crank set for these bikes? I'm new to all this so go easy on the new guy :D

Also the rear brake cable is quite stiff, if you pull the lever the brake sticks on. I'm thinking of stripping the rear brake cable off the bike and lubrticating it. Is it easier and cheaper just to buy a replacement cable for it?

Thanks
Kris

any crank should do - have a look around here for a 2nd hand replacement. What do you mean noisy though? Creaky? Or something else?

re. cables - no harm in stripping them down, lubing them and trying them out again - if that doesn't work replace them - shouldn't cost much.

Hi,

thanks for the reply, it creaks and there seems to be a bit of play in there.
It sounds like bal bearings grinding slightly aswell.

Yeah no harm in soaking the cables :)
