Always wanted one, came with a spare new set of Schwalbe marathon Tyres and a pair of unused Karimor panniers, the bike is unmolested owned by the guy from new
Just picked up this Dawes Galaxy Tour, extras thrown in 200 quid :-)

The bike is great, like new really, I have ordered some super wide flared bars and a quil riser for a 31.8 clamp (more choice), but what a terrific bike, and Made in Birmingham my home city that I have just moved back to

Yes, I want to make a few changes to the bar height and width and then I will post more details, I think its had hardly any use, paintwork immaculate, its a 3x9 too, these were expensive in their day and I now have a virtually mint example, well chuffedLooks very clean, please post more detailed pics, and a ride report always goes down well

Here is a lesson, the guy was asking 200 quid and had people trying to knock him down, I saw it and just paid up the 200 quid as I could see it was a good one, he threw in a brand new pair of karimor panniers unused and a brand new pair of Schwalbe Marathon tyres completely unexpected, but if I had haggled he wouldnt have done that, it was well worth the price but people always feel the need to haggle (as I know only too well) and often its a bad move because it spoils the good will and often you end up worse offIt's definitely a sweet find

I thought they had shifted frame building to Czech Republic for the last couple of years of lugged frame construction - perhaps someone can date this bike and the end of UK framebuilding?

I agree, it's always nice to get a few quid knocked off, but if the price is fair to start with, there's a few offers coming in and you want it, just pay the asking price.

Oh ok didnt know that, its quite a late one I think, it is a lugged frame, nice and lightGreat bike.
