Hi, thanks for asking!.......boiler replaced and all back up and running now.......I have a wry smile about it all but hope I never have to get up in a morning to those temperatures again!!!!!......oh and a burst pipe in the bathroom but I had predicted that and sat waiting for it when the system went on.....a quick fix and no damage!......

Something that people overlook every year and causes hundreds of frozen pipes

Garden taps

Disconnect the hose from the tap, if the hose is full of water it freezes and freezes backwards towards the inside pipes

Wrap the tap with insulation wrap on a roll...then place and secure a waterproof container of some kind big enough to keep the damp and frost off the tap.
