Just bought a Rockhopper

Hi

I have just bought myself a specialized rockhopper 1993? I really only bought it as a cheap bike to ride but really like it and after looking at the examples on the forum i am feeling inspired to treat it to a bit of TLC.

First on the list are the chainrings, the middle one looks bent and some of the teeth are worn. What can i replace them with?

What else is a worthwhile upgrade? this is my first time fixing bikes but i am reasonably handy and would like to do the work myself to save money.

Are you sure, the middle ring is worn? They have teeth of different height and groves to make shifting easyer. Wear is indicated by teeth having the shape of a sharkfin.
