Looking to build up my soon to arrive pipe dream. I was initially going to use xt m770, as I have some of that left over from my commuter xtc that I split a few years ago. Trouble is, I fancy doing something different with this build, and as I've never had SRAM before, looking to go down that route unless I'm advised this is a bad idea. Probably looking to go xo, as this is the most modern I know of, I've heard about xx, but is that 10 speed? Not discounting this, but seems like the devils work to me, and I'd need to check it would fit with my wheels, then I'd need a cassette as well.

I've got plenty of retro stuff to swap, or if cash is king, I'm sure I can find some from somewhere if needs be.

So, looking for shifters, front and rear mech and cranks. If 10 speed, cassette as well.

As mentioned, plenty of retro swaps, including pace rc200 f3 frame, lawwill leader 3 forks, xtc pro groupset (7 and 8 speed, inc md), m952 groupset, m900 groupset, onza ho canti brakes in black (nos) and silver, onza ho v brakes, caramba cranks, syncros cranks, control tech canti brakes, nuke proof carbon hubs etc etc. I've also got a mint, possibly nos litespeed obed fs frame that I was going to build up with m952, white industries disc wheels with rock shox disc brakes, upgraded risse shock etc, or even an amp b5 that I was sold as nos, but not 100% sure, as has storage marks. This was going to get roox bars, stem and post, yellow ti saddle (forgot the brand for now), yellow spinergy xyclone wheels, magura race line brakes, as much yellow as I could throw at the lovely yellow frame tbh.

Anyhow, I digress a touch, anyone got anything on the drive train front that might suit my build?

Re: SRAM xo 9 speed drive train and black cranks

I'll bear that in mind. Will depend on what other drive train bits I can get, but thanks for replying.

Re: SRAM xo 9 speed drive train and black cranks

Would consider x-9, or anything else that is a step up from the XT m770 I have. Step up doesn't have to mean xtr, though that would be nice, more modern might be a better turn of phrase.
