Just 5 minutes

I know this has been asked in some form or another but our tastes keep evolving.
If there was one bike you could get a go on for five minutes to make you cycling life complete what would it be.
What bike you actually want a go on after which you'd never be a mtb bore again because you got a go on your dream but, not just a fantasy machine you've no intension of sullying with your presence

Please only speak of the bike you want a go on for no good reason other than you know you'd be forever fullfilled or at least for a bit. Don't tell me about the steed your mates say has to be tried or the mtb hall of fame number one choice. I want to know about your ultimate bike you could ride for only five minutes and be very happy as a result or at least know you've been misleading yourself for years

I've thought about mine since i first got into bikes, I have seen a couple in the distance or in countless magazines but have never physically touched one let alone ridden.

Drum roll please..................Klein Mantra :D

I can forgive its weirdness, it just calls out to me, cannot afford one, probably cannot find one large enough for my frame but I want a go 8)

Ignore this if the subject bores you but I'd be interested.

Seems like three questions in one to me... 8)

Suspension bike...Ted Wojcik AMP, Fat Shock-A-Billy or similar...give the nod to Ted for staying power and generally being an all around classy guy.

Hard Tail...Brodie Soverign with a nice fresh Mag21 SL and M900 XTR, or maybe a Curtlo Action Tec.

Rigid...Off Road Toad Team Toad, with the appropriate period Syncros and/or Race Face goodies.

Damn...I'm going to get out the Amex and spend the day on Craigslist... 8)

Slingshot

I'm glad I rode one of these before I saw one being ridden, else I'd never have got on it ;-)

I'd like a go on a proper klunker of the early derailleur/cantilever era, just to see how far we've come.

My mates had 2, still got his original 98, the carbon went back as it was just persistantly wrong/broken. My other mate has one too, though she hasn't ridden it for years. I nearly bought it for a singlespeed project with rigid forks :D
They are strange to ride unless you've spent sometime with them and you've got to be prepared to stay in the saddle. Ian always rated his for the big days rides where it proved comfortable, then again it does have 5.5" of travel.
