Job lot of retro spares or repair, Llanelli

That's a whole lotta stuff!!! Better look away as I know someone in Llanelli and was brought up only an hour away. So glad I don't have room, but just like look at stuff! 🤣

Yeah, happens like that, thankfully me parts bins are pretty empty ATM so should be able to bag them for transport, The guy's on here too apparently, suprised he aint advertised them here. Good to see another retrohead in the aera, last one I found was the guy I bought a C16R off a while back, he reported it stolen after I'd picked it up so won't be dealing with him again! I'd paid for it through ebay the day before so he's getting done for attempting to pervert the course of justice! =) Still had a forced night's B&B and me train ticket was invalid the next day, twat!

That eBay purchase sounds crazy! 🤷‍♂️ What an absolute idiot that seller must have been, not to mention stupid or twp as we say in Wales! I guess the seller in Llanelli saw FB as an easier option to shift things? Bigger audience, but does mean you have to deal with a lot more chancers/idiots...

Yeah, he pulled out a nice e-stay Alpinestars and tried to insist I bought it too or I couldn't have the Orange, I explained I'd had to borrow the cash as was as it was a drunken late night bid I didn't think would win, he still insisted, so I just said "You obviously don't know how auctions work then." and rode off laughing me tits off with him yelling obsenities after me, happily in the knowledge it was bought and paid for.

Cnacha bant Jack twp!

Sounds like a very special person. Glad you escaped with just the one bike! You end up meeting some very memorable people dealing in second hand goods! There must be a thread on this site with worst/best/most memorable buying and selling experiences...

Twas a 2nd chance too, tried buying a frame off him a few months back, cnut had postage at nearly £20 (not inc in listing). Did win the bid v cheap but that's no reason to thrape someone on postage to try and claw it back. Anyway, was in The Pretty Shitty City the next day volunteering at our local bicycle recycle place so asked if he could drop it there instead or I come to him after I'd finished. Nope, postal only, sale refused. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance thinks me, everyone has a bad day and comes across badly, I'll take a punt at an Orange off him, it's a bargain, what could go wrong? Cnut remembered that and called Re-Cycle the next day saying one of their employees (I aint, just help out occasionally) had stolen their bike. Now I'm a pariah at Re-Cycle. They've absorbed a bike I was building there into their stock, one of me mates' wheels (29er and all!) that was in for truing and I've lost all me credit (a f-ton!).

Don't give 2nd chances to wankers on ebay.
