Remember when my dad first started collecting. It was all about being able to buy an XK120, DB4, Bristol, for less than a then-modern saloon. Then it went stupid, and they started selling for the price of a house, and ten times what they cost bitd...

Obviously this will never reach those levels, but I liked the idea that I could ride a bike with the Ringle, Nukes, Syncros etc that I never could when younger. When it all starts becoming more expensive than new stuff is when I'll pack it all in and buy a dog. And maybe a pressie for GirlBurning for putting up with me...!

Some items are getting really close. White Onza Porcs in excellent condition sell for say $80+ each? They originally sold for $10-15. A Klein brochure hit $100. Those were free LOL.

But, yeah, it seems that most desirable items are hitting around 1-2 times original retail.
