Still coming to terms with my own existence even at 35 its still tricky.

Made the mistake of contacting a former work colleague via Facebook (should of known better)

He was the only person not made redundant when we were kicked out, now works for a company I'd given my left testee for and moans that its 'hard work'

He's now off to europe on a 3000 mile rally after spending £XXXX on preparing his car - hads loads of fun with track days etc.

I'm jealous - plain and simple - that should have been my ****ing job. I just have an empty parking space where my ****ing track day car should have been.

Track cars are a pain in the ass anyway. Loads of fun when they work but just drain your time and money till you nearly give up. Currently changing my Subaru engine, second time in 8 months! It was the gearbox 10 months ago. Its not even worth much, its 16 years old, flogging a dead horse springs to mind!
You work for the things you think you want and when you get them you just end up with a different set of problems or wanting something else! Just try to enjoy what you have and not worry about what anyone else has or is doing.
Anyway, must buy more bikes because that bloke over there has one that I want......

RE: Track cars I'm building fun road car(s) and will take them to track days only so i can get teh hang of em and not get dibbled or kill any innocent bystanders.

Racing sounds fun if i could bear to prang the car, or be competitive! :O :?
