Jamis Dakar Team 1996

Thats looking really nice!

If it was mine I think i'd put red forks on :?

How strong were these frames? I know a few Easton frames of this era were prone to cracks. I know as i've got a 94 Manitou :)

Glad your a happy Retrobiker... tis a great frame. I'd buy another if I saw my size. You are lucky it was my wife's bike and was only raced once at Mountain Mayhem since I imported it from the USA. I say 'raced' - most of us had to push our bikes around that year...

There are some reviews on these frames cracking, but with rather hard use.
We'll see, I'm not going to spare it. :D
If it cracks, it cracks...

Are you planning on using canti brakes or Vees on it?

My other half has the red 1995 version of the same bike

Vees M737, I've know the red ones, that is a very nice colour, there's one for sale at the moment at Ebay.uk

And it shows, jus a few little sctatches and smooth bearings. 8)
Can't wait to ride it, first have to fix the leaking shock, or I'll install a Fox Alps.

I have a small donation for this project for you Jeroen. PM me your address details again matey and I'll get it in the post
