i built my new retro wheels!! :D :D :D :D

new old stock, NOS, NEW OLD STOCK!

it has a loverly sound when you say it doesn't it, go on, say it to yourself, feels goooooood doesn't it, ah, new . . . old . . . stock. :lol:

deore dx hubs and mavic paris dakar rims, did i mention athey were new old stock?

also decided to strip my mag 20's, lowers all packaged up for a respray, and yes that is also a recently NOS fork crown, thank you mr flooks!!

never knew legs on rocks were so short.ps the wheels look good .....dx hubs always were a good looking set .. :P
 
totally agree with you, something just right about the dx hubs- very well made, my pair are still running smooth circa 1992.
 
CD finish on Mavic rims always was (still is) the nicest finish. And as above how I wish Shimano still polished all their hubs like they used to instead of the 'silver paint' look the anodizing now has.

Just pulled out some Exage hubbed wheels (bought 17 years ago) and the finish puts modern XT to shame.
