It's not just retro MTB stuff that goes for silly prices.

I've had my eye on these little beauties for a few days now. Sitting with zero bids the whole time. Just logged on to eBay and the buggers are at nearly 50 quid! :(

Please also use the complete ebay link - it's what keeps this site running :D

You see quite a lot of them sell high on ebay, there was a really nice set of 4 i saw somewhere, they were in the shape of an oilcan

I'm getting outbid on Schwinn Excelsior head badges every time. There has only been two for sale on eBay this year ( I check daily). There was a tatty one on last week with all the enamel missing that was sat at $27 a few hours before the end. I put in a bid of $162 (about £100 that day) and went to bed. Found out there had been a crazy bidding rush and it went for $180+
I was gutted. Just hope it's going to end up on the front of a bike instead of in a glass cabinet as so many have done.

No problem. I didn't know that going through tinyurl altered that, just thought I was "tidying" up after myself...so to speak.

Over a hundred quid for a headbage?!? Just hope that the one I have my eye on stays at 99p with one bid. I've been looking at lights like these as well >

The ones in decent nick always go for silly money and I'm pretty sure that 9 times out of 10 they'll end up decorating someone's house.

Another has surfaced, in better condition this time too. Hope I have a little more luck (and deeper pockets too) this time.

Doubt it, like their cars, the Americans have rediscovered their heritage.
