Now now calm down
What i mean is its getting harder to find a new frame that isnt designed for a 6" fork with the incredibly sharp sloping top tube :?
I've been thinking of a new frame, something steel but not expensive by which i mean £100 or so new,in the sale section preferably .I'd be looking in the likes of CRC and merlin for a well made cromo frame, but theres nothing suitable, well not by a maker i recognised

Is this the future and there will never be any reasonably flat top tubed frames made, unless its in Ti,custom built and costing the earth
I've put off the project till ive saved a bit,but just wondered if anyone else felt the same about it :?

Keep an eye out for Salsa ala cartes, built round an 80mm fork with an OX platinum tubeset. Rides very nice and not too slopping a top tube. Over your budget new but could be a contender second hand.

I forgot to mention,ii dont want disc tabs

CRC have something called a Nickel Spacer Fitness.
it looks the kind of thing i was thinking about.plenty of nice frame bosses for guards pannier racks etc
But i reckon that it's hi tensile and not a nice cromo :? ,50 quids cheap for new if it turns out to be cromo

I reckon that Nickel Spacer is chromo as the £50 is the sale price, normal price is £99, looks well made too. Ask CRC what its made of, could be a good un
