Why do the rods have to be kept in an air-tight container out of interest?

Moisture contamination will affect the quality and strength of the weld

Take a look down the tube, is the weld nice bright and shiny?
if not it wasn't purged.

Well I thought I would chase Enigma as they have had it back over four weeks.
Rec'd a reply today stating that the frame has been ready for some time but they had lost the documentation relating to the frames ownership! Less than impressive...a quick email trail scan would have easily identified the frames owner.

Depends how long you store them for. Last place i worked with any sort of Ti fabrication never stored them airtight. I suspect the fact that they were cracking through a minimum of 2 or 3 boxes a day may have had something to do with it. :D
