The other day I was mowing the lawn, heard a pop and turned around to see the glass in the patio door had ceased being in one piece.....

Got that sorted then last night the fridge freezer started playing up, kept beeping saying it was warming up.... this morning turns out it's still doing it...went to work and hoped to find someone to fix it locally on the internet, and then the phone rang - the wife couldn't start her car............arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!

Anyway, get back home for lunch and thought "Sod it!", I'll try the good old turn it off and on again with the fridge freezer, and it bloody worked!!!! Then tried jump starting the car, no luck thought it was a flat battery but no amount of juice from my pick up was starting it - just a clicking sound, so I thought " Sod it!" again and tried to bump start it and it bloody worked!!!! Although the engine light is now on....

I've gone from despair and stress today to elation and relief (as has my wife and my wallet) and I fancy a bloody pint!!!!!!!!!!!

Car would probably be sticking starter motor.. can also be 'fixed' by putting it in gear and rocking it back and forth..

Or whacking the end with a hammer.

Bloody mower fired a stone at the patio door......grrr!!! Got it fixed for £85 so not tooooooooooo bad....

Since I bump started the car the engine management lights been on... Originally I thought it was a flat battery as the interior lights were on when I got in and there was a strap blocking the boot from the closing properly hence the interior lights being on - I tried jumping it and nothing happened, bump started it and it was fine - it probably was a sticky starter but why would the engine light come on? Does starting a car retro stylee confuse it's little electronic brain? I'm thinking the battery may have been run down to begin with, and then the computer wouldn't let the car start due to the drop in voltage or something? It's a push button keyless start by the way...............
