19 pages - 6 months …… and we have progress. Likely not the progress that people expect though.

Deep down I knew I wanted a stars & bars or Rasta colour scheme. But recreating those is expensive and a risk.

So instead of going in that direction I purchased another 96 Hot.

Came to me in a high end , but not to my taste spec. So I’ve started to build it the way I visioned it at the start of the this process.

It came with Moots stem, bars and Seatpost which at the moment I’m keeping. I can’t decide if the Ti suits it , or I should go black Syncros and recoup some cash. Happy to hear people’s thoughts on whether it works currently?

Groupset is M950 , Inc the wheels with those spiralled spokes.

Also not sure if it needs a black RF chainset if anyone has one to swap?

I’ve fitted a Z2 which I had ready. But the frame came with a rigid set of forks that the previous owner had custom made.

Not sure what I plan to do with those yet , as I prefer the Z2. But it’s a quite a small market to sell a fork that’s in this colour scheme

I need a few small bits. A pair of M950 brake pad holders , and 2x black V brake bolts if anyone has any?

It’s a custom made fork that’s made to the spec of a P2. But to look like a Potts type 2.

Yeh I prefer the Z2 too.

The issue is that the fork is quite specific.

I think it would look better with a black stem and seat post and bars and a different saddle (that’s what I did with mine to make the frame pop and components subtle).

But I like the Race Face chainset

Yeah, I can't imagine there's much of a market for a stars and bars fork. But at the same time it'd be a shame for someone to repaint it, it looks well matched.
